You can also go two Houndmasters if you want. Hellion, Houndmaster, Arbalest, Vestal works quite nicely. Prophet is indeed a DPS check, but you just bring a mark party. Rallying Flare clears the marks each turn making it pretty simple. Not to mention the normal damage from Hounds Harry and whatever you do with your other two characters (I like Hellion in slot 1).Īs stated in a previous post, Swine is fairly easy if you bring an Arbalest and make sure to use a stun resist trinket so the Arbalest doesn't get stunned. If everything lands the second round, you're now looking at 48 damage in round 2. Since it's one big health pool, it adds up super quick. If everything lands, that's 6 damage per turn, x4 mobs = 24 damage starting in round one. You can double Hounds Harry, applying bleed to all 4 mobs 2x per turn. Formless flesh, for example, is not too bad with two houndmasters, each with a bleed trinket and accuracy trinket.

It's all about having the correct team composition and trinkets. I look forward to the new character classes and the 5th dungeon! Still beatable though! Fantastic game, though I do wish it had some less frustrating elements.

They're brutal and require special designed teams, but then they amount to the end of a game made of frustration and tears. You need a team that can reach rank 4 from the get go, I can't imagine something like a leper being able to participate in this fight in a meaningful way.Īll in all though I was very impressed with the boss design and balance in this game.

I'd say the cannon, prophet, and formless flesh gave me the most troubles.Īs the other Cave Johnson thread atests to, that cannon is just game over if it ever fires, and sometimes it will fire even if you do everything possible to try and stop it. It does take some ridiculous min-maxing though, a competant team that can reliably clear a level 5 dungeon can't just walk into of these bosses. Between my dead legends and failed attempts though, I was pretty satisfied to eventually down them all. For all the outrageousness the game throws at you, these guys take the cake.
